Horses have always been part of my life. They’re part of my earliest memories. The ‘lazy’ RJ3 brand was part of the ‘Yooralla’ Australian Stock Horses bred by my parents. My Love of show jumping led me to start the building of RJ3 Sport Horses, focusing on breeding/producing horses for show jumping/Olympic disciplines .
I have many years of experience in all areas of breeding, primarily thanks to many years in the thoroughbred industry, but also the successful completion of my veterinary nursing certification, AI technician and sport horse massage certification. From the beginning of choosing the mare/stallion, setting up for natural service + AI, a sound understanding of ET and increasing knowledge of ICSI.
Countless hours of hands on experience with everything from maintaining pregnancy, foaling down, handling of foals from birth to starting under saddle & continuing on to their competition careers.
Huge appreciation and understanding of the importance of farrier care and/or surgical intervention for ensuring the best confirmation outcomes for their athletic future.
Having appreciation for the relationship horses allow us to have with them is so necessary. The welfare and care of a 500kg+ animal with no voice who chooses to work with us, should be celebrated.
Horses are huge creatures that could seriously injure or kill us at any point, which is a very relevant reason for the fear most people have. Thay are also very expensive to keep and this is another reason for people’s dislike.
Having not been blessed with amazing finances and having personally received, plus witnessed a few very serious injuries, I have every reason to be fearful, however, the horses in my life have made me!
The connection that is possible with this incredible animal is something to be treasured. They deserve nothing less.
